*Bio:*
Julien Cohen leads application engineering at 3DEO, the highest volume
metal 3D printing

supplier in the world. 3DEO uses Intelligent Layering®, its patented
binder-based metal additive process, to supply production metal components
to the aerospace, medical, defense, and industrial sectors. Previously
Julien's focus was on industrializing the laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF)
process for aerospace products as Lead Engineer at Eaton's
Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence. There he lead programs which
delivered production flying hardware for commercial aviation and defense
applications.
Julien has shipped projects across a range of regulated industries
including rocket propulsion, commercial aviation, turbomachinery, medical
devices, and thermal management systems. He maintains a research focus
alongside his industrial work, including academic publications and
contributions to federal programs such as America Makes, CEED, and SBIR. He
holds an M.S. from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in from The
University of Michigan in mechanical engineering.
