Dear colleagues,



Please find attached the Call for Nominations for the IISE Manufacturing
and Design (M&D) Division Board of Directors. This is a great opportunity
to make a difference and impact the future of our division.

The M&D division is seeking nominations for three board officer positions
described below. All three positions have two-year terms beginning at the
conclusion of the 2021 IISE Annual Conference. Note that the Secretary
position has a succession plan wherein they transition into the roles of
President-Elect, President, and finally, Past-President, each with a
two-year term.


· *Secretary:* This officer is responsible for managing correspondence of
the division including recording and sharing records and minutes of
meetings with appropriate constituents. They are also expected to discharge
duties of the President-Elect in their absence. Considering the succession
plan, this position requires an eight-year commitment towards the M&D board.


· *External Relations Director**:* This officer is responsible for
preparing and disseminating the division's Newsletters (Fall, Spring,
Summer) and organizing webinars on behalf of the division and in
collaboration with other IISE societies and divisions.


· *Media Director**:* This officer is responsible for maintaining the
division's social media presence (Connect, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin) to
disseminate IISE's and division's updates and state-of-the-art information
in the field of manufacturing and design. They are also responsible for
maintaining the division's website.


Nominees must be current professional members of IISE and the M&D division
and must agree to perform the duties of their respective offices, if
elected. Upon election, all officers are expected to participate in the
monthly board conference calls and actively contribute to various division
initiatives and activities. They are also expected to attend the IISE
Annual Conference and participate in the division's Town Hall Meeting and
other special events.



The completed *nomination form* and *nominee's resume** (up to 2 pages)* must
be submitted to Kathy Gamboa <kgamboa at iise.org> by *February 11, 2021*.
Self-nominations are allowed. The M&D nominating committee will review all
nominations and shortlist up to five candidates for each position to be
included on the ballot for membership vote (March 15 - April 29) based on
professional accomplishments, prior service to the community, and potential
for future contributions.
