The Department of Operational Sciences at the Air Force Institute of
Technology (AFIT) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at
the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.  Candidates should possess an
earned doctorate degree in applied mathematics, computer science, industrial
engineering, operations research, statistics, systems engineering, or a
related field at the time of employment and experience appropriate for the
position. We seek candidates whose work complements the department's current
focus on data science.  Candidates with expertise in aspects of data
engineering are especially welcome. Rank and salary are commensurate with
qualifications.  This is a tenure-track position.  United States citizenship
is required for the position.  

 

The department offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Operations Research and an
M.S. degree in Data Science.  Successful applicants must have a strong
commitment to teaching, research, and publishing in high-quality journals.
Interdisciplinary research and multi-disciplinary collaborations are
encouraged.
