Dear All,

The College of Engineering (CoE, https://www.coe.miami.edu/ ) at the
University of Miami invites nominations and applications for the Chair of
the Department of Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering.   The
Department has been newly created in the College of Engineering and
complements five other existing Departments.  The position will offer
opportunities to hire several new faculty, interact with several other
units at the University, including the Frost Institute of Chemical and
Molecular Sciences.  The successful candidate will be tenured in the
College of Engineering and joint appointments with other university
departments are also possible.  The search is open to candidates with
expertise in any of the areas of chemical, environmental, and materials
engineering. The University of Miami’s College of Engineering has embarked
on university-wide strategic initiatives

to the University’s Roadmap to the Next Century.

Interested candidates should have an earned Ph.D. in a relevant engineering
or science discipline.  The individual should present a vision and have
demonstrated leadership skills to create a vibrant department and
enterprise, consistent with the mission and vision of the College of
Engineering.


Review of applications will begin immediately, but applications will be
received until the positions are filled. We request that applications be
submitted by November 15, 2021.   Initial screening of applications will
begin immediately, with hires expected to start as early as January 2022.
