[Iefac.list] Call for nominations - IISE Engineering Economy Division - Industry Practitioner Award

The purpose of the award is to recognize excellence in industry practice of
engineering economy (EE) concepts. The objectives of the award are to show
appreciation to the industry practitioners of IISE who are outstanding in
implementing EE concepts and techniques, as well as encourage
practitioners, via recognition possibility, to raise standards in the
practice and dissemination of EE concepts in engineering.
Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are listed as follows:

   - The candidate must be a member of the EE division
   - The applied case/project for which he/she is being recognized must
   make a considerable contribution to the EE practice
   - The candidate should have industry experience in EE or related areas
   for at least three years

Application Process

The candidate can be nominated by a colleague within his/her own company,
or outside of their organization. The following documents will be asked for
nomination:

   - Three letters of support; a letter of support from the nominator and
   two other individuals; at least one of the three letters must be from a
   colleague from the same organization
   - Project summary and description of software, material or techniques
   used in industry practice for which the candidate is being recognized
   - Curriculum vitae of the candidate
   - A one-page reflective statement by the individual being nominated

Evaluation Criteria

In selecting the recipient of the award, the following criteria will be
considered by the members of the award committee:

   - Leadership: Solid demonstration of leading excellence in industry
   practice of EE concepts
   - State of the art practices: The appropriateness/relevance of the
   application of best EE practices in the market
   - Innovation: Use of innovative approaches to implement the principles
   and practices of EE
   - Effectiveness of the application of EE concepts: Demonstration of the
   value through the application of EE concepts to the industry at large (this
   criterion will consider the statements from references)

Nominations are due Feb. 18, 2019, by midnight CST. All of the application
documents must be emailed as a single PDF file or a single compressed file
to the Omar Ashour <oma110 at psu.edu'> and Mehmet Bayram Yildirim
<bayram at gmail.com>, immediate-past president of the EE division for full
consideration. The winner will be notified no later than March 15, 2020.
There will be no application fee.
