College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science (EMS)
Industrial Engineering (IE) Program Coordinator
The Industrial Engineering (IE) Program Coordinator is a tenure-track leadership and faculty position. This individual will enhance the existing IE program and lead new initiatives; foster external relationships and seek resources; lead ABET accreditation efforts; manage the program budget and resources; and work in coordination with the College Dean, other College leaders, and diverse offices on campus to achieve strategic priorities.
This is a tenured faculty position with a start date of August 1, 2020.
The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department provides Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. Industrial Engineering is an ABET-accredited program with 5 faculty and staff, serving approximately 170 majors, and graduating approximately 40 students per year.
With the opening of a new 100,000 sf engineering building in 2022, the College will consolidate its engineering programs into a single complex, allowing greater interdepartmental collaboration across majors. The new building will house new engineering learning environments, lab facilities, and a large maker space.
