We invite applications for a John D. and Catherine T.  MacArthur Professor
of Data Science. We seek a dedicated teacher-scholar with a PhD degree in
Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics,
or a closely related field, and welcome applicants with a broad background.
Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the field, the position is being
jointly supported by the Departments of Analytics & Operations Management,
Computer Science, and Mathematics. The subsequent affiliation of a
successful applicant will be determined in consultation with the candidate,
and a shared appointment between two departments is a possibility. The
successful applicant is expected to have an interdisciplinary focus and to
work closely with departments from across the University. It is expected
that the degree will be completed by the start of the appointment in August
2020.
