Dear Colleagues,



The Data Analytics & Information Systems Division (DAIS) of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) is pleased to announce the 8th IISE-DAIS Mobile/Web App Competition to recognize creativity and excellence among its members and motivate them to commercialize their research/learning outcomes to accelerate the economic and societal benefits.



Participating teams will have approximately five months to develop their mobile/web apps. The winners of the competition will be announced in the IISE-DAIS Town Hall meeting to be held at the 2020 IISE Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana (May 30 – June 2, 2020)



Please refer to the attached PDF file for detailed information, such as competition schedule, eligibility of participants, competition scope, evaluation process, etc. The following are some critical dates:



December 16, 2019: Deadline for proposal submission.

December 18, 2018: Notices of proposal acceptance.

March 9, 2020: Deadline for submission of prototype mobile/web app and documents.

March 18, 2020: Notification to finalist teams.

May 30 – June 2, 2020: Oral presentation and awards ceremony.
