Workshop on Data Science for Engineering Automation at IEEE CASE 2019
August 22, 2019, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada

As part of the upcoming 2019 IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE), which will be held on Aug 22-26, 2019, at University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada (http://case2019.hust.edu.cn/), we are organizing a workshop on “Data Science for Engineering Automation” on August 22, 2019. Data science plays a critical role in automation science and engineering. The relevance of data science will be more evident in automation in the years to come. One unique aspect of data science is the interface and organic integration of operations research methods and statistical models. This workshop is to present the start-of-the-art methods and developments from that unique aspect and demonstrate how these developments impact the theory and practice of automation science and engineering.

We would like to invite you to join us in this workshop on August 22, 2019 at University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada. The workshop includes several featured presentations and then is concluded by a panel discussion looking into the future. A broad array of engineering applications is to be covered, ranging from manufacturing, energy, material, to healthcare. This will be a great opportunity to get together, and enjoy a memorable day with old friends and make new friends.

Please refer to the attached flyer for more detailed information regarding the workshop. Registration is available now at: http://case2019.hust.edu.cn/Registration/Registration_Link.htm.
