Worldwide HealthEconomics and Outcomes Research (WWHEOR) Group at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) invitesapplications for an Economic & Predictive Modeling Lead position.

Bristol-Myers Squibbis a global biopharma company committed to a single mission: to discover,develop, and deliver innovative medicines focused on helping millions ofpatients around the world in disease areas such as oncology, cardiovascular,immunoscience and fibrosis.

In this positioncandidates are expected to develop best in class, innovative survival andeconomic modeling methodologies that will ensure optimum access for BMS portfolio,and to act as a scientific leader to the WWHEOR and Value, Access & Pricingteams in the latest modeling methodologies that optimize the assessment of BMS products primarily in oncology and other therapeutic areas. 

Candidates will alsobe responsible to partner with key BMS affiliates toimplement strategies to evolve local health technology assessment (HTA) agencymodeling methodology and to lead survival analyses, and development of cost-effectivenessand budget impact models in collaboration with cross-functional local, regionaland global teams with a focus on the global market needs.

In addition to strong verbal and written communication skills,candidates should possess strong academic writing skills for the disseminationof results in peer-reviewed conference proceedings and academic journals.

Applicants should have a doctorate degree (PhD) in economics, healtheconomics, or related relevant discipline such as biostatistics, epidemiologyand operations research with 5-7 years of health economics and outcomesresearch experience. Candidates should have demonstrated experience of working withHTAs and other consumers of health economic information and be experienced inusing Visual Basic, and other software such as TreeAge Pro, C/C++, R, SAS,Stata, SPSS or WinBUGS for model development and data analysis. Earlierexperience or proficiency in interpreting clinicalstudies and internal clinical trial data, and conducting indirect treatmentcomparisons is a plus.
