Instructor in Industrial & Management Systems Engineering


The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (M&IE) seeks an energetic, dynamic instructor in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering. The non-tenure-track faculty member will join a diverse team that is actively pursuing new frontiers in engineering education and research in an interdisciplinary environment. Candidates with backgrounds in applied statistics, operations research or financial engineering are especially encouraged to apply. Highly desirable are candidates who can teach broadly across the breadth of industrial engineering topics. In addition to teaching, the instructor will have opportunities to mentor students, serve on graduate student committees and participate in research projects.

Candidates must have at least a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field by the start date. A PhD degree or relevant industry experience are desirable. Successful candidates will display effective communication and teamwork skills, demonstrate teaching effectiveness in engineering, and be committed to student success. Starting date is August 15, 2020.
