[Iefac.list] Three Data Analytics Positions at the University of Waterloo

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to draw your attention to three tenure-track/tenured position openings in the Department of Management Sciences at the University of Waterloo. The three positions are for the theme of Data Analytics at the interface of Data Analytics and i) Operations Research (OR), ii) Information Systems (IS), or iii) Management of Technology (MOT), respectively.

For the first position, we particularly seek individuals with demonstrated research interests in Data Analytics focusing on interesting applications in Supply Chain Analytics, Service Operations Management, Advanced Production, Smart/Autonomous Systems, Healthcare Delivery, Energy, etc. For the second position, we seek applicants with experience and interest in large-scale data management and analysis for solving real-world problems using cutting-edge data-intensive methods such as data mining, deep learning, and computational statistics. For the last position, we seek applicants studying social behaviour and social phenomena using large-scale data with possible interests in technological innovation, management of technology, and social impacts of new technologies, such as AI, big data, machine learning, etc. The detailed definitions of these positions are available at the attachment.

Important Note: This year we will have an earlier review process. The review of applications will begin on October 1, 2019. Deadline for all positions is January 5, 2020, i.e., we will continue accepting applications after October 1st and review them continuously until the positions are filled. However, to receive the fullest consideration, we strongly recommend candidates to submit their CVs and sample publications by October 1st.
