Tenure/Tenure-Track Faculty Position
The Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering faculty at Kansas State University is looking for a tenure/tenure-track faculty member with expertise in engineering analytics, cyber-physical systems, or other related fields. The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong extramurally-funded research program, publish, and effectively teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses. The department is considering candidates at all ranks (Asst/Assoc/Full Professor). Highly qualified candidates will be considered for an endowed position. Rank, tenure, and salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications and accomplishments. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in industrial engineering or other closely related field.
The research strengths of the department are operations research and advanced manufacturing. The IMSE faculty is particularly interested in candidates who bridge these strength areas in application fields such as engineering analytics, product and process innovation, logistics, or healthcare systems. The IMSE department employs 14 faculty members and enrolls approximately 340 undergraduate and graduate students. The department offers a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, M.S. in Operations Research, and a Master of Engineering Management degree. Faculty and students enjoy a collegial environment that supports a tradition of excellence in education and research. Interdisciplinary and collaborative research is valued at Kansas State University.
