FACULTY POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT – Industrial & Systems Engineering
The Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) at the University of Washington invites outstanding faculty candidates to apply for two (2) full-time (100% FTE) tenure-track/tenured faculty positions (9-month service periods). We are seeking excellent candidates in the area of Operations Research at the Assistant Professor level. The anticipated start date is September 16, 2019.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The successful applicant will be expected to provide innovative, high-quality teaching; engage in collaborative research; complement the department’s research areas; develop a vigorous, funded research program; and contribute to the goals and missions of the department, college, and university. This position is contingent on budgetary approval.
The University of Washington’s ISE department has 11 faculty, with approximately 45 full-time graduate students, 45 professional master’s students, and 140 undergraduates. Qualifications. Applicants must have a PhD or foreign equivalent in industrial engineering, systems engineering or a related field by the date of appointment, and excellent communication skills.
