INDUSTRIAL AND MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT


The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or un-tenured Associate Professor in Industrial Engineering to begin in Fall 2019.  The Department serves approximately 600 undergraduate and graduate students.

The Position:  Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising students, conducting research, and providing service to the department, college and university.  Candidates must be able to effectively teach theory as well as develop innovative lab projects to support our Learn-by-Doing approach.  Successful candidates will help with curriculum development and enhancement of laboratories for research and teaching purposes.  The successful candidate will have:


  *   A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Industrial, Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering or a closely-related field institution by the date of appointment
  *   Background in Quality Assurance/Control, Design of Experiments, Reliability, Facilities Planning
  *   Demonstrated ability to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, creative activities, teaching and/or service and work as well as experience working in an inclusive environment.
