Dear Colleagues:

The Construction Division of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) is sponsoring the Construction Division Track at the 2019 IISE Annual Conference and Expo. The conference is a forum for exchanging knowledge and discoveries in the industrial and systems engineering research and practitioner communities. The 2019 IISE Annual Conference and Expo integrates research and industry under one conference.

As track chairs of the Construction Division Track, we would like to encourage you to contribute to the conference by submitting an abstract. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present their work in a session. Each session will be 80 minutes and have four presenters. Each speaker will have 20 minutes for his or her presentation.  Abstracts are welcome for the Construction Division Track in the following areas:

We invite all presenters to submit a paper for consideration in this year's proceedings. The papers should contain results that are significant and have archival value to the industrial and systems engineering research and practitioner community. Full papers have a six-page limit and will undergo a double-blind peer review process. This year, the Construction Division will present a Best Paper Award.

The important deadlines for the conference are (NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSIONS)

*       Abstract Submission Deadline:                                                              November 9, 2018

*       Notification of Decision on Abstract:                                                   November 30, 2018

*       Submission of Full Papers (optional but encouraged):                      January 18, 2019

*       Notification of Decision on Paper:                                                        February 19, 2019

*       Final Version of Full Paper Due:                                                                   March 5, 2019

*       2019 IISE Annual Conference and Expo                                                      May 18-21, 2019


If your abstract or paper is accepted: (a) a 200-word abstract is required for the program; (b) the presenting author for the paper must register for the conference (presentations/papers without the presenting author registered for the conference will be withdrawn from the program and the proceedings); (c) the presenting author must attend and present the paper at the conference (presenting authors who fail to attend will have their paper withdrawn from the proceedings); and (d) we ask that you be ready to serve as a reviewer for fellow authors and follow review deadlines - all authors who submit a paper are expected to review two papers.

There are also opportunities to organize invited sessions or panels. In addition to research and practitioner presentations, the annual conference offers many opportunities for attendees, including plant tours, networking, and keynote speakers.
