[Iefac.list] Deadline extended for proposal submission – 2019 DAIS division mobile/web app competition

Dear Colleagues,

The deadline to submit a two-page proposal to participate in the 7th Annual IISE-DAIS Mobile/Web App Competition has now been extended to Monday, December 31st. Consequently, notices of proposal acceptance will be sent out to teams on Monday, January 7th 2019.

Please encourage your students to participate in this competition. The winners of the competition will be announced in the IISE-DAIS Town Hall meeting to be held at the 2019 IISE Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida (May 18 – May 21 2019).

Please refer to the attached PDF file for more detailed information, such as competition schedule, eligibility of participants, competition scope, evaluation process, etc. The following are some critical dates (modified deadlines shown in RED):

December 31, 2018:

Deadline for submission of two-page proposal.

January 7, 2019:

Notices of proposal acceptance sent via email.

February 25, 2019:

Deadline for submission of prototype mobile/web app and mobile/web app documentation.

March 11, 2019:

Notification to finalist teams sent via email.

May 18 ~ May 21, 2019:

Final competition and awards ceremony.
