Dear colleagues,
The School of Integrates Sciences at James Madison University seeks
applicants for an assistant professor position with a focus on sustainable
production and advanced manufacturing. The position is full-time tenure
track. Appointments begin in August 2019 for the 2019-20 academic year.
Successful candidates will be able to teach in the ISAT Production Systems
curriculum including continuous improvement, lean and six sigma,
manufacturing automation, materials, manufacturing processes, production
planning and control, and sustainable product and system design.
Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
sustainable production, advanced manufacturing, operations management,
quality management, mechatronics, biomanufacturing, learning factories, or
industrial ecology. Relevant industrial experience is desirable. A Ph.D in
a relevant academic field is preferred and is required for a tenure track
appointment; a master's degree and significant relevant professional
experience will also be considered.
