The Department of Operational Sciences at the Air Force Institute of Technology is seeking a Post Doctoral Associate in the area of Supply Chain Management.

Organization Description: Located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio, the Air Force Institute of Technology, or AFIT, is the Air Force's graduate school of engineering and management as well as its institution for technical professional continuing education. A component of Air University and Air Education and Training Command, AFIT is committed to providing defense-focused graduate and professional continuing education and research to sustain the technological supremacy of America's air, space, and cyber forces. 

The department of Operational Sciences comprises both the disciplines of Operations Research and Supply Chain Management.

Position Description - Postdoctoral Associate: The applicant will be expected to conduct independent research, meet with sponsors, assist and lead in preparation of research manuscripts, and assist in the AFIT educational mission. Additionally, the applicant is expected to publish in top international journals.

Position Qualifications: Qualified applicants should have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: optimization, stochastic processes, simulation, statistics, data analysis, decision analysis, machine learning, systems analysis, economics, and/or graph theory.  Additionally, domain knowledge of supply chain and logics is preferred.

Position Requirements: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Logistics / Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, or other quantitative field.
	--Applicant’s Ph.D. must have been earned from an accredited U.S. university
	--Applicant’s Ph.D. must have been awarded within the past 3 years / 36 months

Applicants must be a citizen of the U.S. and be able to successfully pass a detailed background check as required for qualification to hold an advanced security clearance.

Applicants must provide (1) a curriculum vita, (2) names and contact information for three references, (3) a copy of at least 1 research paper (can be unpublished) or a copy of your dissertation, and (4) unofficial transcripts of Ph.D. coursework.

Compensation Package:  The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 commensurate with education, experience, and area(s) of demonstrated expertise.
