6th Annual IISE-CIS Mobile App Competition

Objectives: The objectives of the IIE-CIS Mobile App Competition are (1) to motivate students to use their creativity in developing mobile apps that are based on theories and practices of Industrial & Systems Engineering (or related fields), and (2) to develop a business plan to justify the need for their mobile app in the market place.

Eligibility of Participants:

(1)   Any undergraduate or graduate students (domestic or international) from higher education institutions in the field of Industrial & Systems Engineering (or related fields).

(2)   A team can consist of a maximum of four members (either current students or recent graduates). Only those students that are enrolled at the time of the submission of the two-page proposal are eligible to participate in the competition.
At least one of the team members must be a member of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE).

Important Dates:
November 20, 2017:

Deadline for submission of two-page proposal.

December 4, 2017:

Notices of proposal acceptance sent via email.

February 15, 2018:

Deadline for submission of prototype mobile app and mobile app documentation.

March 7, 2018:

Notification to finalist teams sent via email.

May 21 ~ May 24, 2018:

Final competition and awards ceremony.
