NERCCS aims to create an interdisciplinary scholarly exchange for complex
systems researchers in the Northeast U.S. region to share their outcomes in
the field and applications to social, biological and physical systems.
NERCCS will particularly focus on facilitating the professional growth of
early career faculty, postdocs, and students in the region.

We call for papers for oral and poster presentations on a wide variety of
complex systems research. Relevant topics include (but are not limited to):

Theoretical foundations of complex systems
Data-driven approaches to complex systems
Structure and dynamics of complex networks
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and evolutionary computation
Game theory, decision theory, and socio-economical applications
Self-organization, pattern formation, and collective behavior
Systems theory, information theory, and systems science
Nonlinear dynamics and chaos
Sustainability and adaptability of complex systems
Applications to the humanities, art, and literature
Historical and philosophical aspects of complex systems
Complex systems and education

Submissions should be made as a single PDF file via EasyChair (
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=nerccs2018), in either extended
abstract format (1 page) or full paper format (8 pages max.).

Important Dates:

Submission deadline:  January 15, 2018
Notification to authors:  March 12, 2018
Camera-ready deadline:  March 30, 2018
Registration deadline:  April 2, 2018
Conference date:  April 12-13, 2018

All student/postdoc participants whose submissions are accepted for
presentations will receive a registration fee waiver.

Registration Fees:

Student/postdoc (presenting):  Waived
Student/postdoc (not presenting):  $30
Academic:  $60
Industry:  $90
Registration Deadline:  April 2, 2018
