Dear Colleagues,

The Work Systems Division of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) is sponsoring the Work Systems Track at the 2017 Industrial and Systems Engineering Annual Conference.

The Work Systems Division provides professional forums for IIE members, presents advanced concepts in Work Systems theory and application, and defines the Work Systems Body of Knowledge. Division Members actively promote research, discovery, and open dialogue on the science, mathematics, and engineering discipline needed to design, build, operate, and sustain human-machine systems.

As track chairs of the Work Systems Division Research Track, we would like to encourage you to contribute to the conference by submitting an abstract. Submit your abstract by Nov. 7 for the opportunity to present your research, best practices and knowledge on an international stage. Choose to submit an abstract on either an academic or industry focused topic (submission options).


What's New?

1. For the first time, you now have the ability to link your abstract to a recognized IISE group. This will make it easier to find abstracts related to a particular society or division.

2. Two presentation formats have been added:

  *   Interactive - Will allow a speaker with a standard oral presentation more time in order to incorporate a defined audience participation activity into the presentation.

  *   PechaKucha - Allows speakers to sign up for a special interactive session where presentations are delivered exclusively in the 20x20 format (20 images for 20 seconds each).

Oral presentations all have a standard duration of 20 minutes. All other presentation types (except Pecha Kucha) will be 80 minutes long.

Conference events and educational sessions will be held in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. You will leave this conference rejuvenated and filled with fresh ideas you can put to use immediately. Take the best and re-energize your career with new ways to address your most challenging issues. The conference program is sure to provide you with countless ideas and solutions that translate into improved efficiency, productivity, quality and competitiveness for your organization.
