The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is pleased to announce two open positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. Please distribute.
Candidates should have an earned PhD in Industrial and Systems engineering/Industrial Engineering or a closely related area from an accredited university. Candidates should show strengths commiserate with excellence in teaching, research, and service. Candidates must be able to establish and sustain a strong research enterprise, and have pedagogical skills to teach in areas relevant to Industrial and Systems Engineering, and in a manner that facilitates intellectual development and success in engineering. Credentials in systems engineering and an ability to contribute to any of the N.C.A&T College of Engineering’s five research thrust areas are preferred: Energy and Sustainability, Cybersecurity and Network Operations, Healthcare Applications, Aerospace and Transportation Systems, and Multi-scale Materials Development and Analysis. The ISE program has approximately 150 undergraduate students and 60 graduate students (MS and PhD). The ISE program has 12 full-time faculty, 3 part-time faculty, and 4 staff members. A faculty mentoring program is available to facilitate the success of new assistant professors.
