*Funded Graduate Student Opportunity in Engineering Sciences Ph.D. Program
with emphasis in Human Factors*
*Description*
A multidisciplinary research team at Clarkson University is seeking
candidates for a Ph.D. research assistant position. This position involves
assisting in the research and development of a human-centered smart
service. More specifically, the research task implies the collection of
human factors knowledge that will be used to design -- conceptualize and
develop -- an operational model that accounts for the operator-smart
scheduler interactions for the electric power microgrid operation. The
doctoral student is required to demonstrate proficiency in industrial
engineering and human factors, ergonomics or engineering, psychology
coursework and become fully immersed in sponsoring research during his/her
course of study. The selected graduate assistant will work closely with
the Coulter School of Engineering, School of Business, and School of Arts
and Sciences and with industrial external parties as well.
*Financial Aid*
This Graduate Research Assistant appointment is available in Spring 2016
and offered for one-year terms, renewable based on performance up to three
years. The financial aid covers stipend and tuition costs.
