Faculty Position Openings in Advanced Manufacturing

Oregon State University

The School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering at
Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon invites applications for  
two full?time tenure?track faculty positions:
1) Sensor design, modeling, and system characterization with  
application to manufacturing process control, cyber?physical systems,  
and the internet?of?things; and
2) Metals processing with application to additive manufacturing,  
solidification, heat treatment, manufacturing metrology, quality  
control and related topics. The successful candidate will hold the  
position of NWCSM Faculty Fellow.

Appointments will be considered at the Assistant, Associate and Full  
Professor levels depending on qualifications of the applicant. The  
School has research threads in advanced manufacturing, next generation  
materials, human?centered systems, design engineering, robotics,  
energy conversion and renewable energy systems that cut across the  
disciplines of mechanical, industrial, manufacturing and energy  
systems engineering.

A PhD in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related  
areas is required prior to the position start date. Preference will be  
given to candidates with strong research interests in the above  
research threads. The ability to teach in additive manufacturing and  
metrology is considered a plus.
