[Iefac.list] Reminder: 2016 IIE-CIS Mobile App Competition

Dear Colleagues,

This is a friendly reminder that we are 2.5 weeks away from the first deadline of the 4th Annual IIE-CIS Mobile App Competition sponsored by the IIE's Computer & Information Systems Division (CIS).

Please distribute the attached flyer among your undergraduate and graduate students (if you have not done so already). We hope to continue to grow this competition as it has been the case in every one of the last three years. Participating teams will have approximately six months to develop their mobile app and the winners of the competition will be announced in the IIE-CIS Town Hall meeting to be held at the 2016 ISERC in Anaheim, California (May 21st - May 24th 2016).

Below is a summary of some of the critical dates:

November 4, 2015: Deadline for submission of two-page proposal.
November 18, 2015: Notices of proposal acceptance sent via email.
February 15, 2016: Deadline for submission of prototype mobile app and mobile app documentation.
March 7, 2016: Notification to finalist teams sent via email.
May 21 ~ May 24, 2016: Final competition and awards ceremony.
