CALL FOR PAPERS: LOGISTICS, SCM & TRANSPORTATION TRACK, WSC 2015
--------------------------------------------------------------
What:    Winter Simulation Conference
When:    December 6-9, 2015
Where:   Huntington Beach, California
Website: http://www.wintersim.org/2015/
--------------------------------------------------------------
The Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) is the premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of dynamic systems modeling and simulation. In addition to a technical program of unsurpassed scope and quality, WSC provides the central meeting place for simulation practitioners, researchers and vendors. Research in modeling and simulation is propelled by fostering cross-fertilization between various disciplines. The theme for WSC 2015 is Social and Behavioral Simulation.
-----------------------------------------------------------
LOGISTICS, SCM, & TRANSPORTATION TRACK DESCRIPTION
-----------------------------------------------------------
The nature of highly dynamic and complex networks of supply, intralogistics and distribution leads to decreasing transparency at increasing risk. Therefore, managers who are responsible for supply chain management and logistics require effective tools to provide credible analysis in this dynamic environment. In order to facilitate the discussion of the best applications of simulation in this area, this track includes papers in logistics simulation, supply chain simulation, and simulation for planning, analyzing and improving logistics from the intralogistics view to global supply chains.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  * Supply chain design and responsiveness; Supply chain risk analysis
  * Supply chain operations; Lean supply chains
  * Inventory policies; Supplier policies; Demand and order fulfillment
  *   Multi-modal logistics systems; Intralogistics
  *   Traffic and routing

  *   Advanced material flow systems
  *   Port operations
  *   Rail operations

CONTRIBUTED PAPER DEADLINES
----------------------------------------------
* April 1, 2015: Electronically submit contributed papers not previously published or presented. Each submission must be a 5- to 12-page paper, including an abstract of no more than 150 words. Submissions must be made through the WSC website, www.wintersim.org<http://www.wintersim.org>.
* June 1, 2015: Contributors will be notified whether their paper has been accepted.
* July 15, 2015: Authors electronically provide a final manuscript meeting all technical and format requirements to the Proceedings Editor.
