The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department of Qatar University invites applications for a full time faculty position at all ranks in the areas of quality management, quality engineering, engineering management, or innovation with special focus on quality for manufacturing and/or service processes. The successful candidate is expected to pursue high quality research and lead funded project, develop, coordinate, and teach courses in the Industrial and Systems Engineering BSc program at the undergraduate level and Engineering Management MSc and PhD programs at the graduate level, and supervise students.

 A PhD degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Quality Engineering, or a related field is mandatory. Applicants at the assistant professor rank should demonstrate their ability to teach and should have published research papers to their credits.  At the associate professor rank, applicant should have a solid record of quality teaching and publication, and proven capability for successfully receiving research grants and leading funded projects. At the professor rank, applicants should additionally have a demonstrated excellence in administration skills.

The employment package is commensurate with experience and rank and highly competitive. It includes a 12-month tax free salary, housing, private health insurance, relocating expenses, financial support for school expenses of the faculty member’s children (up to three children), and two months of paid summer vacation including annual round-trip flight tickets as in line with the current Qatar University HR policies.
