Please note revisions to the “Full Paper Submission” and “Paper Decision Notification” dates. Full papers are due on June 30, 2015. Authors will be notified of review decisions on July 31, 2015.

2015 IIE Engineering Lean & Six Sigma Conference in Collaboration with the Lean Educator Conference
September 30 – October 2, 2015, Atlanta, Georgia
Call for Papers
The ELSS 2015 Conference Committee invites you to submit abstracts to share your experiences in terms of industry practices, teaching/training and research in lean, Six Sigma and related areas with a diverse audience of engineers, managers and educators/researchers dedicated to improving operational excellence at the 2015 Engineering Lean & Six Sigma (ELSS) Conference, which will be held in Atlanta from September 30 – October 2, 2015.
New and expanded tracks for ELSS 2015 are:
· Lean Six Sigma Applications Track
· Lean Six Sigma Research Track
· Lean Six Sigma Education Track
Specific areas of focus* include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lean Six Sigma Applications Track
Demonstrations and case studies about how Lean Six Sigma can be used in a wide variety of applications and industries, such as healthcare, manufacturing, logistics and supply chains, etc.
Lean Six Sigma Research Track
Research examining recommendations for improving the conceptualization, implementation and sustainment of lean Six Sigma initiatives, such as modeling and simulation, systems and process development, creating and sustaining a lean Six Sigma culture, future of lean Six Sigma, etc.
Lean Six Sigma Education Track
Work that explores innovations that address challenges in the lean Six Sigma classroom, such as education in industry, experiential games and simulations, using lean to teach lean, etc.

Presenters are invited to submit abstracts for these tracks on industry topics (such as practices in segments new to lean Six Sigma), academic topics (both research and education), and joint academic/industry topics (including needs for new graduates, industry participation in learning in academia, and professional education and training). ELSS 2015 will include many valuable activities including keynote presentations, panel discussions, interactive forums, concurrent industry and research presentations, facility tours, and activities for students. All papers will be peer-reviewed, and the accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Papers are preferred, but abstracts for presentations are also accepted.
