Subject: New Simulation Competition for your classes
The first biannual Simio Student Simulation Contest, that ended in December 2014, was a great success with 130 teams participating from 27 schools and 13 countries. Please join us in the first 2015 competition open now.
There are several ways you can participate:
1) Include the base problem in your classes as a class project. You can judge the results and submit up to 3 of the best into the international competition.
2) You can use this problem or an extended version of it as a bigger project such as a senior project or Capstone project.
3) You can encourage your top students to enter the contest on an ad-hoc basis to gain some extra simulation experience.
No matter how or why they enter, all students will gain valuable simulation, project-management, and presentation skills. The top teams will gain international exposure and a good resume enhancement. The very best teams will take home some cash awards as well.
Check out the web site for the details and signup. Registration is open now!

While there be sure to check out the 2014 awards ceremony and the complete videos posted from last year's winners.
Plan ahead now to participate in the September 2015 contest as well.
If you are not yet teaching Simio, look at Academic Quick Start<http://www.simio.com/academics/> to find out why you should join leading universities like TAMU, NCSU, PSU, and GATech in teaching Simio. You probably qualify for a 100% grant<http://hs.simio.com/order-simio-academic-software> to fully equip all your teaching labs.
