Penn State Behrend invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position at the rank of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Assistant Professor to teach in the College’s interdisciplinary programs in business and engineering beginning August 2016 . Primary appointment will be either in the Black School of Business or the School of Engineering. Successful candidates will demonstrate the potential for outstanding teaching and must be a team player with the ability to work with and across disciplines. Qualified candidates should have a master’s level degree in engineering or business with industry experience in new product development and/or manufacturing. Candidates with a Ph.D. or DBA in Industrial Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Operations Strategy, or a closely related field with experience in new product development, quality management, operations strategy, and/or manufacturing are preferred. 



This position will involve teaching in the College’s distinct B.S. in Interdisciplinary Business with Engineering Studies (IBE) and Master of Manufacturing Management (MMM) degree programs as well as advising capstone design projects. Candidates will be expected to teach using the tools of strategic management, engineering, and manufacturing concepts and principles to instruct students in the evaluation of new product introduction including feasibility, design, manufacturability, and intellectual property rights.
