The University of Southern Indiana invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor/Instructor of Advanced Manufacturing to teach in the University of Southern Indiana's Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering programs beginning August 2015. Rank and pay will be commensurate with qualifications. This is an annually renewable position. Industrial experience in manufacturing is required. Undergraduate teaching experience is desired. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline is required. An advanced degree is highly desirable but it may either be a technical degree or a business-related degree that is applicable to manufacturing. Professional registration is desired. The candidate will be responsible for teaching a wide variety of manufacturing and engineering topics. These could include, but are not limited to: manufacturing, statistics, safety, lean, programmable logic controllers, plant layout, and robotics. It is desired that the candidate be familiar with a wide variety of manufacturing technologies. In addition to teaching, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with program development, student advising, and program accreditation.
