Register now for the 4th International Forum on Sustainable Manufacturing!!

For the fourth successful year, the Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing (ISM) at the University of Kentucky is organizing the 'International Forum on Sustainable Manufacturing' to be held at the Hilary J. Boone Center on September 12, 2014.

This year's event will include invited presentations on:
*       Recent research advances in sustainable manufacturing at the product, process and systems (including supply chain) levels and related areas as well as,
*       Cutting-edge practices used by industry leaders to address sustainable manufacturing and related issues.

In addition to above, special features this year:
*      The first national-level gathering of the top leadership of all three institutes in the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI) in a panel discussion. Do not miss this rare opportunity to learn how the NNMIs plan to help promote sustainable manufacturing!!
Ø  Panelists include:

o   Dr. Dean Bartles, Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute (DMDI)

o   Ed Morris,  America Makes - National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute

o   Dr. Alan Taub, American Lightweight Metals Manufacturing Innovation Institute (ALMMII)
Ø  Emerging researcher presentations: a series of presentations by emerging young researchers working in sustainable manufacturing and related areas.

Are you engaged in research in an area related to sustainable manufacturing and interested in contributing to this event?  Here's how you can:
Ø   Assistant Professors/Post-doctoral Researchers: Submit an abstract and receive up to $1000 as a travel grant to attend the event.
Ø  Graduate Students: Submit an abstract for a poster and receive free registration and an opportunity to win a cash award.
