Dear Industrial Engineering Colleagues,
Thanks to the dedicated volunteer efforts of Dr. Femi Omitaomu of Oak Ridge
National Lab (ORNL), the Industrial Engineering Academic Genealogy data
entry website (www.ielineage.org) is now live in Beta Test version and ready
for your inputs.
The IELineage project, sponsored by the Association of Military Industrial
Engineers (AMIE) and ABICS Publications, has taken months of tweaking and
renaming to get to the Beta Test status.
I invite you to go to www.ielineage.org and click on "Database Entries" to
enter your industrial engineering academic genealogy information consisting
of the following items:
. Your name and PhD information
. The name of your own PhD advisor
. The names of your PhD advisees (you may indicate the graduation
year of each advisee within parentheses after the name)
. Suggestions for names and contact emails of other colleagues that
we can invite to provide database entries
The database structure will create a genealogy tree linking PhD advisors to
PhD advisees.
After the Beta Test database has sufficient entries for creating the data
structure, you will be able to go to the website to view the PhD genealogy
linkages (i.e., PhD genealogy tree).
This is a landmark project that we expect to continue to improve over time.
Your suggestions and feedback will be appreciated.
Please help to spread the word.
With best regards,
Deji Badiru
