Dear friends and colleagues,



The Operations Research Division of the Institute of Industrial Engineers
(IIE) is once again sponsoring a track in the Applied Solutions sessions of
the 2014 IIE Annual Conference.  Applied Solutions sessions present proven
solutions from applying industrial and systems engineering principles
within industry, healthcare or service companies.  The Operations Research
Track is seeking presentations in which operations research principles such
as mathematical modeling, forecasting, statistical analysis and others have
been applied to real-world challenges within any industry.



As chair of the Operations Research Track, I would like to invite you to
contribute to the conference by submitting an abstract.  Authors of
accepted abstracts will be invited to present their work in a session of
either 35 or 75 minutes.  Submissions must include an abstract, a
description, and 3-5 presentation objectives.



The important deadlines for the conference are:

Ø  Abstract Submission Deadline: November 22, 2013

Ø  Abstract Acceptance/Notification of Presentation Scheduled Day/Time:
January 17, 2014

Ø  Final PowerPoint and Optional Paper Due: April 4, 2014

Ø  Presenting author registration: April 4, 2014



If your abstract is accepted: (a) the presenting author for the paper must
register for the conference by April 4, 2014 (presentations without the
presenting author being registered for the conference will be withdrawn
from the program and the proceedings); (b) all speakers are required to
submit a PowerPoint presentation for inclusion on the conference CD
proceedings.  Presenting authors are also invited to submit a paper to be
included in the conference proceedings



In addition to the Applied Solutions sessions, the annual conference offers
many opportunities for attendees, including the Industrial and Systems
Engineering Research sessions - scholarly work by researchers in academia
or industry, plant tours, networking, and keynote speakers.
