·         *The Department of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering
(SSIE) in the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering, Binghamton University
is experiencing exponential growth and eagerly invites applications for the
following five faculty positions starting Fall 2014 with the following
research foci:*

 ·         Associate/Full Professor – Electronics Packaging/Manufacturing*

·         Assistant Professor – Healthcare Systems Engineering – Health
Systems and Applied Operations Research*

·         Assistant Professor – Healthcare Systems Engineering – Health IT
and Data Analytics*

·         Assistant Professor – Manufacturing Systems using New
Technologies (e.g. Biomanufacturing, Additive Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical
Manufacturing)

·         Assistant Professor – Smart Grids/Operations Research


        All five positions involve: teaching at all levels (undergraduate
courses through advanced graduate courses); establishing externally funded
theoretical and applied research in the respective disciplines.

          The ideal candidates must have (i) an earned doctorate in
engineering or the sciences, (ii) excellent leadership skills, and (iii)
superb records of research, including garnering funding and scholarly
publications. Teaching experience is preferred.

          The SSIE department offers a BS degree in ISE, MEng degrees in IE
and SE, and MS and PhD degrees in SS and ISE. Attracting over $2.5M dollars
in research funding per year, our established faculty works collaboratively
with over 24 global sponsors from industry and federal agencies. SSIE also
offers a cutting edge executive health systems program in Manhattan. More

*This is an affiliated position for one of the five Transdisciplinary Areas
of Excellence (TAEs) that Binghamton University has identified for growth
under the auspices of its SUNY2020 plan. The successful candidates will
contribute to the development of this TAE as an area of intensive research
and teaching. The search committee will include members of the respective
