We look forward to seeing you in Montréal!
Ten reasons to attend ISERC 2014 at Montréal:
o Disseminate research and socialize with colleagues (Receptions and Town
Hall meetings)
o Participate in best paper award competitions
o Panel: Deans’ views on interdisciplinary research opportunities for IEs
(Panelists: College Deans with IE background)
o Panels: Emerging frontiers in Energy, Health Care, Human Factors,
Manufacturing, Operations Research, Quality Control, and Supply Chain
Management (Panelists: top scholars in the field)
o Panel: Potential funding sources (Panelists: program officers from
different agencies. Possible officer office hours available)
o 2014 Applied solution conference will be held parallel with ISERC 2014
(This is the first time). This provides much more opportunities for
academic researchers to interact with industry practitioners to explore
collaborations
o Young Faculty Colloquium and Doctoral Colloquium (Young faculty and
Ph.D. students)
o Job fair for students (This will be the first time)
o NSF student travel grant support (Graduate students)
o Montreal, called "Canada's Cultural Capital", is a very beautiful city
to visit
Regards,
ISERC 2014 Energy Track co-Chairs,
Shijie Deng (Georgia Institute of Technology), Vishnu Nanduri (University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee), and Ruiwei Jiang (University of Arizona)
Best wishes,
Ruiwei Jiang
