The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME) department at Kettering
University invites

applications for a tenure track faculty position at the level of Assistant
Professor, with an

anticipated start date of July 1, 2014. A Ph.D. in Manufacturing
Engineering or related field is

required. Primary duties will include classroom and laboratory instruction,
design, and

assessment in the area of manufacturing processes and engineering
materials. Preference will

be given to candidates with experience in Computer Integrated manufacturing
(CIM) and

Computer Numerical Control (CNC). Industrial experience is highly desirable.



The Kettering University IME Department has once again been ranked No. 1 in
the country by

U.S. News and World Report in the publication's annual 'Best Colleges'
editions. Kettering

University is predominantly an undergraduate institution and strives for
excellence in teaching.

The successful candidate must be qualified to teach undergraduate and
graduate courses in

manufacturing engineering. In addition to teaching, the successful
candidate is expected to

conduct and publish scholarly and applied research, as well as participate
in university and

professional development activities including curriculum development,
assessment, and

improvement. Establishment of an externally funded undergraduate research
program is

expected.
