[Iefac.list] Post-doc Research Fellow (Production scheduling)

The Division of Systems and Engineering Management at Nanyang Technological
University (NTU) in Singapore invites applications for the postdoctoral
research scholar position effective in Aug 2013. The successful candidate
should have demonstrated experience in the area of optimization,
particularly in the applications of production planning. Knowledge of
dynamic programming and Markov decision processes, and experience in
simulation will be considered a plus. Applicants should have a proven
record of research publications in top-tier journals. A Ph. D. in a
relevant field and a publication record is required. The initial
appointment will be for one year, with additional years contingent upon
satisfactory performance.



Requirements for the position:

1) Ph. D. degree in operations research or relevant fields

2) Optimization

3) Dynamic programming and MDP

4) Simulation



This is a full time position at NTU in Singapore. The monthly salary is
competitive, with up to two month annual bonus. This is a great opportunity
for someone who wants to expose himself to the semiconductor and
pharmaceutical industries and build-up their CV, while experiencing the
