Faculty Positions in Next Generation Manufacturing
The Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU) seek applicants for tenure track/tenured faculty positions in the area of Next Generation Manufacturing to grow our efforts in the important thrust areas of Energy, Health, and Sustainability. Specific areas of interest include but are not limited to: Additive manufacturing, Automation, Bio-manufacturing, Medical manufacturing, Nano-manufacturing, Robotics and Flexible Manufacturing, and Sustainable manufacturing.
The successful candidate will hold an earned Ph.D. or equivalent in engineering or a related field. Required qualifications also include demonstrated evidence of excellence in research and teaching as appropriate to the candidate's rank. Desired qualifications include a record of acquiring external funding and publication in top-tier journals with real-world impact and a commitment to transdisciplinary teaming.
Faculty members are expected to develop an internationally recognized and externally funded research program, develop and teach graduate and undergraduate courses, advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and undertake service activities.
Appointments will be at the assistant, associate or full professor rank, commensurate with the candidate's experience and accomplishments, starting August 2013. Although appointment is possible in any of the Fulton Schools of Engineering based on interest, the programs most active in manufacturing are Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering.
