THE Systems Engineering and Engineering Management program (SEEM) at THE WILLIAM STATES LEE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHARLOTTE is currently seeking candidates for two tenure-track positions at the assistant/associate professor levels in the area of systems engineering, energy systems, system modeling and optimization, operations research, logistics management, or service systems. The ideal candidate will (a) have a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field; (b) seek external funding actively and develop a strong research program; (c) demonstrate potential in publishing in top journals (d) have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, (e) actively contribute to the further development and growth of the planned SEEM Department; and (f) have the ability and interest to work closely with industry.

UNC Charlotte is located in one of the nation’s fastest growing metropolitan areas on an expanding modern campus.  Our campus is located in the piedmont of North Carolina, just two hours from the mountains and three hours from the Atlantic Ocean. UNC Charlotte is part of one of the oldest public university systems in the United States, offering a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs to over 25,000 culturally diverse students. Charlotte is the largest city in North Carolina and has been ranked as one of the best business locations in the U.S., being the second largest financial center in the U.S. with a historically strong energy, manufacturing and logistics/distribution industry.
