Academic Professional / Director of Student Services

 

Description

 

The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering of
Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for the position of
Academic Professional - Director of Student Services.  The ISyE Director
of Student Services will have an academic appointment in the School of
Industrial and Systems Engineering and will teach one to two ISyE courses
per semester.

 

The ISyE Director of Student Services will 

.         Manage the daily operations and supervise all employees of the
H. Milton Steward School of Industrial and Systems Engineering's Academic
office,

.         Assist the academic Associate Chairs with key office functions
including

o   implementation of the ISyE teaching schedule,

o   advisement of  graduate and undergraduate students,

o   student outcome assessment for ISyE undergraduate and graduate
programs,

o   accreditation processes including those for SACS and ABET, and
Academic Program Review,

o   budget preparations and budget management for the Academic Office,

o   technology and process improvement in the office,

o   further development of the BA/MS programs, 

o   development and marketing of research opportunities to students,

o   liaison with other campus entities including dean's and provost's
offices, Career Services, Financial Aid,  and Distance Learning,

o   connections for corporate recruiters to assist students in gaining
employment upon graduation, 

o   recruiting activities for prospective undergraduate and graduate
students, and 

o   orientation programs for incoming students.

 

Qualifications

 

PhD degree preferred / MS considered in Industrial Engineering or a
related field and have supervisory experience.  ABET expertise,
industry/business/government experience, and/or Professional Licensure are
a plus.  Candidates meeting the minimum requirements are encouraged to
