Assistant Professor in Decision Sciences
San Francisco State University

A tenure track position for an Assistant Professor in Decision Sciences will be available for Fall 2013. Responsibilities include teaching and research in Decision Sciences, a program designed for undergraduate and graduate students in our AACSB accredited College of Business serving over 5,000 students. Current topics of instruction include operations management, forecasting, simulation, management science, quality management, project management, supply chain management, and data analysis. The department is developing courses/initiatives in data mining and allied fields. The emphasis is on applications within the business environment. The program is supported by excellent computing facilities including access to multiple campus servers as well as state-wide university computing facilities.
San Francisco State University, a large urban university, is part of the 23-campus California State University system serving a diverse student body in liberal arts, sciences, and professional programs. A Ph.D. in Operations Research, Statistics, or a related field, with a specialization in Data Mining, is required. Business experience and some background in applied computing are desirable. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
