The College of Engineering at Sultan Qaboos University invites applications
from highly motivated and dynamic academics for seven faculty positions at
the Assistant/Associate Professor levels, in the Department of Mechanical
and Industrial Engineering. 


Position 1 :
(IE: Industrial Engineering)

The department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Sultan Qaboos
University is pleased to announce the availability of a faculty position in
Industrial Engineering. The applicant must have a Ph.D in Industrial
Engineering with a B.S. in Industrial or possibly Mechanical Engineering.
Applicants must have competitive academic credentials in the area of
ergonomics, Safety, Human factor and/or facility planning and Quality
Control. Individuals with research interests in emerging and
interdisciplinary areas for example  but not limited to Healthcare,
Integrated Systems are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must have
excellent teaching experience in addition to a good record of academic
publications. They are expected to be proficient in English and to be able
to work in multidisciplinary teams and to attract external funds. 


Position 2 :
(IE:Industrial Engineering)

The department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Sultan Qaboos
University is pleased to announce the availability of a faculty position in
Industrial Engineering. The applicant must have a Ph.D in Industrial
Engineering with a B.S. in Industrial or possibly Mechanical Engineering.
Applicants must have competitive academic credentials in the area of
Manufacturing, Automation and Industrial Control System or Industrial
Information System. Applicants must have excellent teaching experience in
addition to a good record of academic publications. They are expected to be
proficient in English and to be able to work in multidisciplinary teams and
to attract external funds. 


 

Apart from tax-free basic salary, the University provides free furnished
accommodation, three years renewable contract with end of service gratuity,
annual leave with return air tickets, and free medical services in
Government Hospitals in the Sultanate. Interested candidates should submit a
