This is a period of collaboration, transformation, adaptive culture and the
end of business as usual. Social media is a key driver for this transition.
With social media becoming a powerful tool to leverage and enhance the
experience of our daily lives, it has become imperative to review and
rethink the usual way of business.
Moving forward with this objective, this special issue aims to present
original ideas and research work around the current practices, potential and
pitfalls related to the applications of social media in business
enterprises.
Submissions to this special issue are an extension of the submissions
accepted for inclusion in the third virtual conference on Business and
Management (VCOBAM 2012) scheduled for Oct 26-27, 2012. All extended
submissions will be further peer-reviewed for possible inclusion in this
special issue. The content of this issue is expected to be
inter-disciplinary covering various aspects of business such as technical,
social and financial. This issue will be useful for business entrepreneurs,
strategic leaders and managers in large as well as small enterprises, IT
managers, academicians and research scholars.
3. Subject coverage
Submissions should include original research work covering different aspects
of using social media for business enterprises. Suggested topics include,
but are not limited to:
.Applications of Social Media in business functions and verticals
.Changing forms of outsourcing
.Empowerment of micro and small organisations
.Knowledge entrepreneurship
.Organisational learning and knowledge management
.Virtual Team and trust

Authors shortlisted for making extended submission for possible inclusion in
the special issue will be asked to submit as per detailed submission
guidelines communicated by the special issue editors.
