The Department of Industrial Engineering and Enterprise Information at the
Tunghai University invites applications from outstanding candidates for an
assistant professor position with a start date of 1 August 2012.


Assistant professor position in the area of operation research, supply
chain management, and automated manufacturing system, or related fields. We
are especially interested in candidates with research interests in emerging
applications (such as health-care, green, and smart living) or
methodologies.



Candidates for these positions must have an earned PhD in industrial
engineering, operation research, or a closely related field discipline.
Applications should have an excellent record of teaching and research. The
successful candidates will be expected to teach in the department’s
undergraduate and graduate programs, and to develop a strong, leading-edge
research program that includes scholarly publication, research funding and
doctoral student supervision. Candidates with the ability to establish
research programs with National Science Council sponsors and industry are
particularly desired.

ABET-accredited program with an emphasis on research. The faculty of
the Industrial
Engineering and Enterprise Information Department maintains an outstanding
reputation in a variety of research areas. The department is home to 15
