Lean philosophy is a proven concept for business success. It is based on
producing quality products and providing quality services that customers
demand. Lean is considered as a process for continuous improvement through
integration of customers, suppliers, employers and all stakeholders
involved. A large collection of proven tools are available in support of
implementing lean concept. The purpose of this special issue is the
publication of latest research articles in the application of Lean Tools and
Methodologies in planning, design, development and implementation of lean
concept in Manufacturing, Service and Healthcare industries.

Revised manuscript submission: May 31, 2012

Accepted Final Paper: July 1, 2012
