[Iefac.list] Dr. Suraj Alexander - Interim IE Chair at Louisville

To all:

I am writing to announce that Dr. Suraj Alexander is now serving as Interim Chair of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Louisville.  Dr. Alexander has taken this position due to my recent appointment as Associate Dean for Administration, Planning and Faculty Affairs.

He has a wealth of experience in this role, having served as the Chair of IE for 10 years from 1995-2005.  The IE faculty,  school administration and I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Alexander's ability to effectively lead the department during this transitional period.

I am also attaching a pdf copy of our most recent Summer 2012 edition of the Louisville Cardinal Update newsletter for those friends and colleagues  who may have an interest in our activities.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer before Fall semester starts!
