Kettering University, rated #1 in Industrial Engineering in the
country by *U.S.
News and World Reports* (for non-Ph.D. granting institutions) is seeking an
outstanding individual for the position of Assistant Professor of
Industrial Engineering.


The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Industrial
Engineering or a closely related field of engineering.  Two years of
experience as an engineer in industry is preferred.


Teaching is the primary focus of Kettering University and outstanding
communication skills are a priority.  The successful applicant will be
expected to develop a program of research and applicants with research
interests in production planning are welcome. Finally, an important aspect
of service to the university is participation in student recruiting efforts.


Kettering University is located in Michigan and is known for its
requirement of experiential learning in all undergraduate degree programs
which is mostly accomplished through co-operative education which leads to
full time jobs for the vast majority of our graduates.

Kettering is within one hour of metropolitan Detroit, Ann Arbor and East
Lansing, all home to large state universities.  The cost of living in the
local area is modest and offers a wonderful quality of life.
