City University of Hong Kong is a dynamic, fast-growing university that is
pursuing excellence in research and professional education.  The Department
of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management is looking for talented
faculty in emerging and interdisciplinary research areas such as risk
engineering and management, quality and reliability engineering, system
informatics and data mining, logistics and supply chain management, energy
and environment, and other IE/OR related areas.  Good academic credential
and excellent communication skills are required.  All classes are taught in
English.

 

The University endeavors to be an internationally leading university in the
Asia-Pacific region. The Department of Manufacturing Engineering and
Engineering Management was first formed in 1987 and was renamed as the
Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management on July 1,
2011. The Department seeks strong candidates in emerging fields that
strengthen and expand their existing areas of focus. Particularly strong
candidates are welcome in any fields.

 

Requirements: A PhD in a closely related discipline with a promising
research record and a strong teaching ability. The successful candidates are
expected to develop new research directions and courses.

 

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual
performance.  Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and
dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable).  Initial
appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
